Description
This work is part of the Black Books created for the Samizdat series. The Black Books are a set of works that examine and make visible dissidents and political activists who suffered the harshest repression under communist regimes and lost their lives while protesting in the countries of the Eastern Bloc. These Black Books share one defining feature: all their pages are made of unprinted black paper—no text, no content, only silence, a mourning that extends from beginning to end. Both the exterior, as well as the form, size, and other properties, are specific to each work and include references to these opponents of the regime, who endured the oppression of a totalitarian state that did not allow critical thought.

Esta obra que se enmarca dentro de los Black Books creados para la serie Samizdat. Los Black Books son un conjunto de obras que examinan y visibilizan a disidentes y activistas políticos que sufrieron la más dura represión de los gobiernos comunistas y perdieron su vida protestando dentro de los países del Bloque del Este. Estos Black Books tienen una única particularidad en común, que todas sus páginas son en papel negro sin imprimir, no hay contenido, solo silencio, un luto que se extiende de principio a fin. Tanto el exterior, como la forma, tamaño y demás propiedades son singulares a cada obra e incluyen referencias particulares a estos opositores al régimen que padecieron la opresión de un estado totalitario que no permitía el pensamiento crítico.
